The 1930's was a very interesting period in history for literature and paintings
ReplyDeleteI liked the movie because I thought it was interesting how there was only a narrator, no other commentary. I also liked Thomas Benton's paintings because they show a different yet interesting perspective of America.
ReplyDeleteMy America looks like everyone risking it all for a chance of success. My America is about making your mark on America.
ReplyDeleteI thought that this exhibit was interesting enough to hold my interest. I enjoyed viewing the paintings and I had a decent time.
ReplyDeleteMy America looks like freedom. It looks like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
ReplyDeleteMy America looks like a diverse land of opportunity with liberty and justice for all. In America with hard work anyone can succeed.
ReplyDeleteAmerica is a country with lots of problems. And those problems don't seem to be getting solved. Soon as I'm 18 I'm moving to Europe. I'm serious. I don't wan another George Bush. Ugh
ReplyDeleteMy America looks like broken glass. Shattered and needs re-building.

My America looks like the future of the world. There are many oppurtunities for every person and America is a true example of what the world should be like.
ReplyDeletemy America , is as diverse as an ocean. sharks and pray and everything in between. they go along with there life but face hardship along the way.some you learn form some you dont. Together or seprate it is all the same. either way you can run away from your hardships. but if you do it will follow, untill you relize what happened and why. you cannot relive your life in heaven untill you live your life you have right now. this is how i look at my america.
ReplyDeleteAmerica is freedom to think or love anything
ReplyDeleteI thought that the exhibit was interesting. I didn't realize how old some of the paintings were. Especially the one of the farmer with the pitch fork.
ReplyDeleteMy picture of america is complete freedom to believe in whatever you want
